These Terms and Conditions govern bookings for Asset Training Academy public training courses, virtual masterclasses and IT courses. Please read them carefully before booking.
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your booking and attendance on a public training course delivered by Asset Training Academy Ltd.
By booking a course, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are booking on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
In these Terms: “we”, “us”, “our” and “ATA” refer to Asset Training Academy Ltd. “You” and “your” refer to the individual or organisation booking a course. “Delegate” refers to the named person attending the course.
Our details: Asset Training Academy Ltd, registered in England & Wales (Company No. 13088797). Registered address: Business Lodge, Kingsway, Caldwell Road, Widnes, Cheshire, WA8 7GD. Email: info@assettrainingacademy.com. Telephone: 01925 909 310.
2. Bookings and Confirmation
2.1 How to book
Bookings can be made online via our website, by email to info@assettrainingacademy.com, or by telephone on 01925 909 310. A booking is provisional until we issue a written confirmation by email.
2.2 Booking confirmation
Upon receipt of your booking, we will issue:
A booking confirmation email
An invoice (if payment has not been made at the point of booking)
Joining instructions and venue details, sent 7–10 days before the course start date
The booking confirmation, together with these Terms, forms the contract between you and Asset Training Academy Ltd.
2.3 Substitutions
If a named delegate is unable to attend, you may substitute another person at no charge. Please notify us in writing as soon as possible by emailing info@assettrainingacademy.com with the new delegate’s name and contact details.
2.4 Changes to events
We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to a course, including changes to content, timings, trainer, or venue. Where a change is significant, we will notify you in advance and offer a transfer or refund if the change is unacceptable to you.
3. Pricing and Payment
3.1 Course fees
Course fees are stated on our website at the time of booking and are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP), exclusive of VAT, which will be added at the prevailing rate.
3.2 Multi-delegate discounts
Multi-delegate discounted pricing is available on our public classroom courses only and applies when two or more delegates are booked onto the same course, on the same date, at the same location. Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively or split across different bookings.
Multi-delegate discounts do not apply to Virtual Masterclasses or IT training courses (including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and Introduction to Copilot). Each delegate on these courses is charged at the standard single-delegate rate.
3.3 Early bird discount
An early bird discount may be available for bookings made 30 or more days in advance. The discount applies to single-delegate bookings only and cannot be combined with multi-delegate pricing or any other promotion. Voucher and promotional codes must be applied at the time of booking.
The early bird discount rate varies by course type as follows:
Public classroom courses: 15% early bird discount
Virtual Masterclasses: 10% early bird discount
IT courses (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint): 10% early bird discount
Power BI and Introduction to Copilot: 15% early bird discount (higher-value courses)
3.4 Payment terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date or before the course start date, whichever is sooner. Bookings made within 30 days of the course start date are payable immediately and we reserve the right to require payment in full before joining instructions are issued.
We accept payment by credit or debit card, BACS bank transfer, and PayPal. Bank details are provided on the invoice. Personal (non-invoice) bookings will only be confirmed upon receipt of payment.
3.5 Late payment
We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at the statutory rate set out in the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, plus reasonable recovery costs. Where an invoice remains unpaid by the course start date, we may withhold attendance until payment is received.
4. Cancellations, Transfers and Refunds
4.1 Your right to cancel or transfer
Where possible, we will always try to transfer you to an alternative date rather than cancel your booking. To request a cancellation or transfer, please email info@assettrainingacademy.com as soon as possible. Where you transfer to a course at a higher price, the difference in fee will be charged. Where you transfer to a course at a lower price, no refund of the difference is made.
4.2 Cancellation charges
Where transfer is not possible and a cancellation is processed, the following charges apply based on notice received before the course start date:
More than 28 days’ notice: full refund (less any non-recoverable third-party costs)
15–28 days’ notice: 50% of the course fee is refundable
8–14 days’ notice: 25% of the course fee is refundable
7 days or fewer (including non-attendance): no refund
Cancellation charges apply in all circumstances, including illness, transport disruption, and adverse weather. We strongly recommend booking with a reasonable buffer where possible.
4.3 Refund processing
Refunds, where applicable, are processed within 14 working days of cancellation confirmation, to the original payment method. We will acknowledge cancellation requests within 2 working days and confirm next steps.
4.4 Cancellation by us
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a course (for example due to insufficient bookings, trainer unavailability, or circumstances beyond our control), we will:
Notify you as soon as possible
Offer a transfer to an equivalent course within a 12-month period at no charge
Or, if no suitable alternative is available, provide a full refund
Our liability for cancellation is limited to the refund of fees paid. We are not liable for any consequential costs, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, or lost working time.
For full cancellation terms, please also see our Refund Policy at assettrainingacademy.com/refund-policy.
5. Attendance and Conduct
5.1 Joining instructions
Joining instructions are issued by email 7–10 days before the course start date. These include venue or virtual joining details, course timing, and any preparation required.
5.2 Course timing
Public courses run from 9:30am to 4:30pm unless otherwise stated. Delegates are expected to arrive in good time and remain for the full duration of the session in order to receive their certificate.
5.3 Conduct
Delegates are expected to behave professionally and respectfully towards trainers, fellow delegates, and venue staff. We reserve the right to remove any delegate whose conduct is disruptive, threatening, or unlawful, without refund.
5.4 Special requirements
If you have any accessibility needs, dietary requirements, or other special requirements, please notify us at the time of booking or as soon as possible afterwards. We will make reasonable adjustments where possible.
6. Certification
6.1 Certificate of Achievement
All delegates who attend the full course will receive a Certificate of Achievement confirming attendance.
6.2 CPD certification
Where a course is CPD-accredited and includes a post-course eLearning module, delegates will receive a separate CPD certificate upon successful completion of that module. The eLearning module is provided for self-study following the classroom or virtual course and must be completed within the timeframe stated in your joining instructions.
CPD certification is not available for IT training courses (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Microsoft Co-Pilot).
6.3 Replacement certificates
Replacement certificates can be issued on request. We may charge a small administrative fee to cover production and postage.
7. Course Materials and Intellectual Property
All course materials, including but not limited to workbooks, slides, handouts, exercises, recordings, and online content, are the intellectual property of Asset Training Academy Ltd or our licensors.
Course materials are supplied for your personal learning and reference only. They may not be reproduced, distributed, sold, or used to deliver training to others without our prior written consent.
Where eLearning modules are accessed via a third-party platform, your use is also subject to the platform’s own terms of use.
8. Virtual Courses
Our virtual courses are delivered via Zoom or Microsoft Teams (the platform will be confirmed with your joining instructions). Where a course is delivered virtually:
Delegates are responsible for ensuring they have a stable internet connection and a suitable device
Joining links and any required software details are provided in advance
Sessions may be recorded for quality assurance, trainer feedback, or training purposes; delegates will be notified at the start of the session and may opt out of being recorded by turning off their camera and microphone
We do not share recordings with delegates as standard but may make them available on request at our discretion
Delegates are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary IT permissions to access the chosen platform. No refund is available if a delegate is unable to attend because their organisation's IT policy prevents the use of Zoom or Microsoft Teams
9. Photography and Recording
From time to time, we may take photographs or record video at training sessions for marketing, training, or promotional purposes. Where this happens:
Delegates will be notified in advance
Delegates may decline to be photographed or recorded by informing the trainer at the start of the session
We will not knowingly include the image of any delegate who has opted out
If you have any concerns about photography or recording, please contact us at info@assettrainingacademy.com.
10. Liability
Asset Training Academy Ltd will deliver training to a high professional standard. We do not, however, guarantee specific outcomes for any individual or organisation, as outcomes depend on factors outside our control, including delegate engagement and the workplace environment in which skills are applied.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any booking shall be limited to the amount of fees paid for the relevant course.
We do not exclude or limit liability for:
Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of opportunity.
11. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act 2018, and our Privacy Policy. By making a booking, you confirm that any personal data you provide on behalf of others (for example, named delegates) has been provided with their consent.
For full details of how we collect, use, store, and share personal data, please see our Privacy Policy at assettrainingacademy.com/privacy-policy.
12. Events Beyond Our Control
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, transport strikes, public health emergencies, government action, fire, flood, or trainer illness.
In such circumstances, we will use reasonable efforts to reschedule the affected course. Where rescheduling is not possible, we will provide a full refund of fees paid.
13. General
13.1 Variation
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version applicable to your booking is the version published on our website at the time of booking. Any updates will not retrospectively affect existing bookings.
13.2 Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13.3 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.
13.4 Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the booking confirmation and our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Asset Training Academy Ltd in relation to your booking.
