Managing other peoples performance and their appraisals can be a very difficult task and requires the correct knowledge on how to monitor, motivate and improve your team. The 2-day Managing People Performance and Appraisals programme is highly participative and considers many of the different tools available to managers when it comes to monitoring, assessing and enhancing the performance of their team and individual team members. The course also touches on the issues of motivation, managing high performance and holding difficult conversations when performance is poor. Finally, delegates are provided with a practical approach to conducting a one-to-one appraisal, coaching or performance improvement interview to apply as part of their performance management activities in the workplace.

The course considers many of the “tools” available to managers to manage the performance of their team and individual team members. Who Should Attend This Managing Performance Course?

This participatory course is targeted at Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders in organisations who are involved in managing the performance of employees, colleagues and team members.

Blended Learning

We deliver the 2 day Managing Performance Course as a “blended learning” programme which means that after the classroom course has been delivered, each delegate will be given access to an e-Learning Module which can be studied in their own time.  The module takes around 1.5 to 2 hours to complete and delegates will have access to the materials for 12 months.  Once the module has been successfully completed, the course becomes CPD accredited and a CPD certificate will be available to download and print to demonstrate their commitment to Continuous Professional Development.  The Course carries 2 CPD points.

In any organisation, the traditional model of strict command and control wastes a significant amount of time and money. Mutual trust, employee motivation and readiness to perform can easily be undermined. Performance management, on the other hand, offers a different, much more effective approach.

In formal terms, Performance Management involves the achievement of performance targets through the effective management of people and the environment in which they operate. It’s about setting achievable goals for the organisation and targets for individuals and teams.

The e-learning course takes approximately 60 mins to complete.  You have access to the course materials for 12 months.  This can be useful to refer back to as a refresher.

The course is CPD accredited and carries 3 CPD Points 

The course format is a presenter led video, followed by a series of multiple choice questions.  You have 3 attempts to successfully answer each question correctly.  Once all modules have been passed, you will be issued with a digital CPD accredited certificate to download and print for your records.
